Finally catching up with some photos from the end of summer.  We had to send our home laptop off for a repair before the warranty expired, and then things got really crazy with the beginning of the school year.

To wrap up our summer we had a (mostly) awesome trip to St. Louis to visit the Pruss family that started with a stop at Lego Land just outside Chicago.  The only blemish on the extended weekend was the fact that our vehicle was broken into while visiting the zoo.  Luckily they only got Michele's mostly empty purse and a backpack with some kids books.

After that, we had a fun weekend camping with the Robinson family and later Jake got to go camping with Meme, Papa, and Alison.

Jake loves his 1st grade teacher and was excited to be in a split class with 2nd graders.  Michele has just one group of kids now with full day kindergarten, but she's still just as busy as ever.

Samantha is talking a lot more now.  Our favorite words to hear are please and thank you, along with ice and bus!  Her Ss are adorable!

We've been having a great summer so far.  Once again, as I sort through the photos, I realize how long it has been since our last post.

Jake finished Kindergarten with great marks and is very excited to be a first grader.  Samantha will be missed by the teachers of her infant room.  I'm guessing the kids she bullied will be glad she's gone.

Since then the weeks have seemed pretty full between swim classes, Library time, and tons of playing outside.

We spent a fun weekend up in Oscoda and East Tawas camping with Meme and Papa and all their progeny.  We also got to see some extended family at Keith's graduation party which was a lot of fun.

We took our annual trip with Michele's family to Shelby on Lake Michigan and had some of the hottest weather, biggest waves, and, ignoring the lack of Internet, best house yet!

Summer is SO close

Jake had his last soccer game of the season on Saturday.  Their team really grew well together.  It's amazing to see how far they have all come since last Fall!  Jake is excited to get signed up for the next season.

Jake and Michele are getting ready for their last weeks of school, and Samantha for her last week of daycare.

Lots of stuff coming up in the next few weekends, so be sure to check back often (I'm being optimistic that I'll get stuff uploaded more regularly).

It's beginning to look a lot like summer...

With the warm weather, we've been spending a lot of time outdoors.  Samantha points to go outside anytime we walk by the door wall.  Both kids love playing in the water and the sandbox, so it should be a pretty good summer.

Things sure have seemed busy around here, but we've had fun celebrating Easter, Michele's birthday, and Mother's day along with having all kinds of fun around the house and outside when the weather is nice.  You can see the photos here and here.

Our children have aged...

We've been having a lot of fun in the Anderson house the past few months.  We've had to deal with quite a lot of sick kids (and adults), but we were able to celebrate (multiple times) Samantha's first birthday and Jake's sixth!

Jake is doing awesome at school and is turning into quite a good reader and mathematician.

Samantha is helping to feed herself, has a mouthful of teeth (at least almost there) and she took her first solo steps.  Even without walking, she's into everything.  When she goes through a room, it often times looks like there's been a mini-tornado and not a 12 month old that passed through!
