Finally catching up with some photos from the end of summer. We had to send our home laptop off for a repair before the warranty expired, and then things got really crazy with the beginning of the school year.
To wrap up our summer we had a (mostly) awesome trip to St. Louis to visit the Pruss family that started with a stop at Lego Land just outside Chicago. We've been having a great summer so far. Once again, as I sort through the photos, I realize how long it has been since our last post.
Jake finished Kindergarten with great marks and is very excited to be a first grader. Samantha will be missed by the teachers of her infant room. I'm guessing the kids she bullied will be glad she's gone.
Since then the weeks have seemed Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-20453092038773624372012-06-10T21:01:00.005-04:002012-06-10T22:23:02.420-04:00Summer is SO close
Jake had his last soccer game of the season on Saturday. Their team really grew well together. It's amazing to see how far they have all come since last Fall! Jake is excited to get signed up for the next season.
Jake and Michele are getting ready for their last weeks of school, and Samantha for her last week of daycare.
Lots of stuff coming up in the next few weekends, so Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-48660633963873171512012-05-31T07:25:00.002-04:002012-05-31T07:26:21.972-04:00It's beginning to look a lot like summer...
With the warm weather, we've been spending a lot of time outdoors. Samantha points to go outside anytime we walk by the door wall. Both kids love playing in the water and the sandbox, so it should be a pretty good summer.

Things sure have seemed busy around here, but we've had fun celebrating Easter, Michele's birthday, and Mother's day along with having all kinds of fun around the house and outside when the weather is nice. You can see the photos here and here.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-78535796247983520252012-04-01T21:05:00.000-04:002012-04-01T21:05:59.498-04:00Our children have aged...
We've been having a lot of fun in the Anderson house the past few months. We've had to deal with quite a lot of sick kids (and adults), but we were able to celebrate (multiple times) Samantha's first birthday and Jake's sixth!
Jake is doing awesome at school and is turning into quite a good reader and mathematician.

We've only had 9 visitors to the blog in the last quarter. Is anyone even reading this any more?
Oh, you're suggesting it's my fault because I've been lazy and haven't uploaded any photos in that time?
Sure, it's always easy to blame someone else.

We hope everyone had a great summer. Ours was busy, but full of fun. Between camping trips and our Shelby trip, to swimming, splash parks, baseball games, and just playing in the yard, we had a lot of fun.
Now we're in back-to-school mode. Michele is back to teaching. Jake is loving his new kindergarten class. And, Samantha seems to enjoy spending her days at The Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-54260161285401429572011-07-21T21:40:00.000-04:002011-07-21T21:40:00.117-04:00Summer is Flying By
We are having a great summer so far. We've had a camping trip. We've gone swimming in lakes, Great and small. We've gone swimming in pools. The Pruss family came in for a great visit that included a Tiger's game. Michele and I celebrated our 9th year of marriage! Samantha was Baptized. There's been lots going on, and you can see lots of pictures Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-12931648968429139542011-05-22T06:58:00.000-04:002011-05-22T06:58:25.273-04:00May 2011
Mother's Day / Michele's birthday have both flown by. Our little girl is now 3 months old! Our 5-year-old is beginning his training to one day become the best US born soccer player to ever have touched the turf.
Otherwise, time is just flying by at the Anderson household. Click here to see more pictures.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-28225322800259840182011-04-26T20:11:00.000-04:002011-04-26T20:11:33.553-04:00Happy... um... lots of stuff.
It's been quite a while so I'll just try to hit the highlights here... Happy one and two months for Samantha. Happy 5th birthday for Jake. Happy Easter.
I think that should just about cover it.
Few people care what I write here. What they really want are the pictures. There are lots of pics, most with descriptions, so without further ado, just head to the March and Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-77392314703392315212011-03-05T10:58:00.000-05:002011-03-05T10:58:47.760-05:00And now we are 4... well, we have been for a bit
Sorry for the extended hiatus, but we had to take time out to welcome our daughter to the world.
Samantha Grace, in case you hadn't heard through facebook, family, or friends, was born on 2/14 and weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches long.
She's already passed her birth weight since being home from the hospital, so things are tracking well.

Jake should easily remember his first trip to the North American International Auto Show. He got called up on stage to help with a demonstration of the new Ford C-MAX. After being in the demonstration that was broadcast up onto several big screens in the Ford area, they gave Jake a really cool toy car similar to the set that he got from the Pruss family for Christmas.

We had a great Christmas. Per tradition, Christmas Eve was celebrated with Matt's side of the family, and Christmas day with Michele's.
Jake was spoiled by us, the family, and Santa just like in years past.
The big difference was we got to wake up on Christmas morning in our new house!
Here are pictures from around Christmas.
We also have a few videos to share as well.
We hope Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-14786404015495073192010-12-07T20:35:00.000-05:002010-12-07T20:35:39.405-05:00It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ** except at our house, since it doesn't make sense to setup the Christmas tree only to take it down and move it.
Jake and Michele met up with GnGT, DLCnM (-D), and the Faust family (- Mike) at the Moose for their annual Christmas celebration. It looks like they had a really great time.
Tonight, we headed over to the Livonia City Hall to take part in the lighting of the city tree. Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-8819000999551018252010-11-27T17:38:00.000-05:002010-11-27T17:38:00.841-05:00Happy Thanksgiving(s)
We are very thankful for all our family and friends. We are thankful that the baby seems content to stay inside Michele for a while longer. We are thankful that we were able to sell our house and buy a new house (both official now). We are thankful that Michigan State has a share of the Big Ten Championship. Jake had a really fun Halloween this year. On Friday they had their helicopter drop at school, and then after pre-k, we got to go hang out at Mommy's school for their Monster Math night. Then, on Sunday, we celebrated Pete's birthday and then came back home to trick-or-treat and pass out candy (and pretzels) with Meme and Papa.

We had a great time last night when we walked up to Wilson Barn. Jake got to ride a pony, jump in the bounce house, and go through a haunted house. Thankfully we were able to request that the monsters were friendly instead of scary. Otherwise, I'm not sure even Mommy would have made it through OK. Instead of getting jumped at, the monsters said boo pretty quiet and Jake Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-78825063370560068882010-10-19T19:04:00.000-04:002010-10-19T19:04:51.731-04:00Hello Fall
We've had a very good, but very busy fall so far. We've had several birthdays to celebrate, football to tailgate for and watch, and are in the middle of selling and buying a new house (more on that if/when it actually goes through).
I think you'll get more details from the picture captions, so without further ado... September and October.

Back to school is in full swing here at the Anderson house. Jake is loving his new Pre-K classroom. He's had awesome drop-offs each day, and that is a HUGE improvement over a few months ago.
Michele is stressing out, per usual, over getting back into her routine. I'm sure it must be tough to get ready for two classes full of new kids.
This past Sunday, we headed up to Huron Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24423833.post-34595478013019513462010-08-28T16:50:00.000-04:002010-08-28T16:50:16.911-04:00August 2010
August has been a very busy month for us.
We got to celebrate Alison's ninth birthday which was a joint celebration with Brooke.
We made a big announcement.
We got to spend lots of time with family and friends.
And now... Michele is back to setting up her classroom and Jake has a new haircut for school (pre-k) which he'll start on Tuesday.

We had a great week last week. The Pruss family came to visit. Jason and Jo stayed at our house for a few days with Elle, Zach, Obie, a Macbook, and Jason's new iPad. We had a great time hanging out and catching up. Michele and Jake got to go to the zoo with them one day while I was at work. We had another great year in Shelby on Lake Michigan. We did all the usual activities: swimming, body surfing, laying on the beach, putt-putt, go-karts, ice cream, Whippy Dip. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things.
Unlike other years, the guest list dwindled as the week went on leaving Pete and Teri to enjoy their last night by themselves.

Last week, Michele and Marie took the kids up to Alpena for a visit with the Meinhardt family. It sounds like everyone had a great time, and Jake and Reid really played along together well. Reid even let Jake borrow a little Jessie (Toy Story) toy for a while!

We had a great Independence Day weekend. We started off on Saturday by going to the parade in Fenton and then spent the rest of the day out on the water either boating or swimming. We then wrapped it up by watching some fireworks that were shot off from the island in Lake Fenton. It was a great display and being so close to it helped make it even better.
We then spent Sunday Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
